THE chief executive of Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has received an honorary degree in recognition of his services to the corporate travel industry.
David Radcliffe, who heads the award-winning international corporate services company headquartered in Victoria Street, Basingstoke, received the degree from Glion Institute of Higher Education.
The Swiss institute classes itself as among the top three hospitality management schools in the world.
David, who joined Hogg Robinson in 1978 and was appointed to the board in 1989, becoming chief executive of HRG in 1997, said: “It’s a great privilege to receive an honorary degree from Glion – I am immensely proud and humbled by this recognition. Our business is a dynamic and exciting one. I feel as passionate about it today as I did on my first day. At HRG, we focus always on our clients, ensuring that they receive an excellent service. This is made possible by our exceptional asset – our people.
“Together, we will continue to help shape the industry for the good of our clients and to drive our business and our mutual success forward.”
Philippe Attia, CEO Glion Institute of Higher Education, said: “David was a natural choice for us to award an honorary degree in recognition of his services and contribution to the industry. His passion, commitment and vision as chief executive of HRG are exemplary.”
