Town go down at Camrose
4:49pm Saturday 13th March 2010
BASINGSTOKE Town were left to rue a poor first half display as they went down 3-1 to visiting Dover Athletic at the Camrose on Saturday.
The visitors opened the scoring after just four minutes, Frannie Collin being allowed to turn in the box before firing past Ross Kitteridge.
It became 2-0 just before the half-an-hour mark, Oliver Schultz finding himself unmarked to volley home.
Shaun Welford completed the first half scoring eight minutes before the break, springing the offside trap before rounding Kitteridge and slotting into an empty net.
Town improved almost immeasurably after the break and dominated the second half but could only find one goal, substitute Gary Frewen curling in a free-kick from just outside the box.
